A new report is into the rumors on these days. Here are around 2 million accounts were hacked by the community of hackers. These accounts belong to various websites like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and various others. The entire process was done by using keylogging software that was maliciously installed on to the large number of computers throughout the world, as said by the researches of Trustwave. Installed viruses were capturing log in credentials for key websites few months before and further sending these details towards the server that was in control of hackers.

- 1,580,000 website login credentials stolen
- 320,000 email account credentials stolen
- 41,000 FTP account credentials stolen
- 3,000 Remote Desktop credentials stolen
- 3,000 Secure Shell account credentials stolen

The entire process was done by using malicious techniques and with the of a kind of keylogging software that was a version of Pony botnet controller, as per the researchers, this malicious version was being used to steel login credentials especially passwords and other essentials as said by Trust wave. At the same time hackers got around two million user data including 1.5 million website login details along with email ftp and other sort of remote desktop essentials.
What the analysts say:
The analysts at Trustwave added their dialogue ahead to the context that the password that uses four character types and are longer run than 8 characters are considered as excellent whereas less than four characters of strength said to be terrible. Reports also told that it was usually done with 92 countries and the majority was Russian speakers. Two Russian websites named vk.com and odnoklassniki.ru found on the same spot along with Facebook, ADP and various others. The geo location report is also here that shows the massive impact of these hackings were over the users belong to Netherlands, Thailand, Germany, Singapore, Indonesia, United States and various others.
This situation pointed out a big question over the security that’s what most of the companies were acclaiming to their customers and this report will diminish their faith over the entire user generation. However, all these hacked websites also said that they were send some emails to the users regarding their account compromising and still they are looking to set better security measures to make the things keep secured.
