It is important to be responsible when we use our social media platforms, particularly when you are posting something for your company or your colleagues. It is essential to be careful in our posting for our companies and our colleagues because we are representing some reputed organization. Our small post can make or break their image. If we post something negative, it can damage their image which is not appropriate. Also, we should consider that our respective companies surely check such things. As social media has become very influential, companies now do such check on their employees in order to maintain the reputation of the organization.
Recently, one of the PayPal executive was found posting not so nice things about his colleagues on Twitter.
He started tweeting at 1 AM in the midnight. It contained lots of spelling mistakes also. He was in New Orleans attending Jazz Fest. He made comments for PayPal’s VP of Global Communications and others.
It is second time that he has made such opinion publicly. He had made offensive comment in a post about VentureBeat’s POS service. Later on, he apologized to senior PayPal executives for his comments. Later, he was fired from the company.
